Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC)-Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Jeddah in synergy with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Riyadh, facilitating the participation of Indonesian businesses and importers of Indonesian products at the international coffee and chocolate exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 8 -12 December 2021.
Facilitation is given to increase market penetration of Indonesian products in Saudi Arabia. The exhibition, which was held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, was attended by more than 300 participants from 13 countries.
"This exhibition is expected to increase the introduction of Indonesian coffee and chocolate products to the people of Saudi Arabia. Not only for new products but also to help increase the market for products that already exist in the Saudi Arabian market," said the Ad Interim Charge d'Affaires (KUAI) of the Indonesian Embassy. Riyadh Arief Hidayat in a written statement, Saturday (11/12/2021).
The Indonesian Consul General in Jeddah, Eko Hartono, said that his party is ready to facilitate and assist Saudi Arabian entrepreneurs in finding and marketing Indonesian products in Saudi Arabia, including coffee products.
According to him, Indonesian coffee and chocolate are known as one of the best in the world in terms of quality and quantity of production.
"If there are Saudi Arabian entrepreneurs who are interested and interested in marketing Indonesian coffee and chocolate products, the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah through ITPC Jeddah is ready to help facilitate importers in terms of providing product and supplier information, conducting business matching, trade consulting, product promotion, and other related matters," said Eko.
The Indonesian Trade Attaché in Riyadh Erwansyah added that this activity was the first exhibition that the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh and ITPC-KJRI Jeddah participated in in Saudi Arabia after a hiatus of almost 2 years since 2020 due to the pandemic. Thus, the enthusiasm of visitors is quite high.
"We want to take advantage of the high enthusiasm of the people of Saudi Arabia through this exhibition. Evidently, the Indonesian Pavilion is visited by many, not only to try the coffee provided, but also to take samples and buy the products on display," said Erwansyah.
